Our Teachers

Ms. Lia (Frog Teacher)
Ms. Lia has been a high school Spanish teacher for three years.  This is her 5th year of teaching at Presbyterian Preschool.  She has a Bachelors in Secondary Education with an endorsement in Spanish and Portuguese (she is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese!) and a Master's degree in Social Policy.  She has traveled extensively in the U.S. and abroad and has lived in Brazil and the Netherlands.  Her passion is teaching, traveling, and learning about the world.



Ms. Susan (Polliwog/Tadpole Teacher)

This is her 4th year teaching at Presbyterian Preschool.  Susan grew up in Southern California and moved to Carbondale with her family in 2006. She studied at SIU Carbondale and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. Susan has worked in an after school setting, as well as a teacher's aide for special needs students. Susan has been a substitute teacher in many of the surrounding schools for all grade levels. She engages in art such as; painting and multimedia art. Susan loves teaching children, walking in nature and listening to music.



Ms. Kimberly (Director and Frog Teacher)

Ms. Kimberly has worked in diverse educational settings for many years.  She is the director of Presbyterian Preschool and this is her 7th year teaching.  She earned her Bachelor's degree in Spanish Language & Literature with a Minor in Psychology at SIUC.  Ms. Kimberly enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with her family and two boys Jace and Oliver.
